Work experience
My professional interests focus on using capital market tools to build successful businesses.
My job shadow rotation at Instinet, Inc., an institutional pioneer in electronic trading platforms, cemented my interest in pursuing a finance major. It was a front row seat to watching the intersection of the global markets and business. I enjoyed the workplace intensity balanced by a strong sense of camaraderie.
My hands on work experience has taught me the importance of customer service, operations, and people skills. From greeting guests, to cleaning carts at a golf course, to sweeping warehouses, and working a forklift at my family’s wood pellet business, I’ve learned that it takes more than a good plan to make a business successful.
The greatest learning experience I’ve had was starting my own company.
As a seventh grade on-line student during COVID, I started a freelance graphic design business catering to student-athletes, content creators, and clothing designers. It was ambitious and overwhelming, but awesome. Today, my work centers on athletic commitments and special projects requested by long-time clients. Visit my portfolio page to see more work.
